Im 19 years old. living at my boyfriends house.. I have no job no money nothing to help support my soon to be baby girl. There are so many worries going through my head that i cant seem to push away.. Yet my boyfriend seems extremely calm about the whole thing. wether he is just hiding his true feelings or what?!?! I keep trying to find ways to plan everything to help myself when the time comes. I just want to be the best mom I can be.

I seems like you are thinking positive already.... You want to be the best mom you can be and that is good thinking....If you can remain calm, things will work out...And as far as you wanting to be the best mom,,,keep that positive attitude going..... This will get you through many things.....Wishing you all the best!!!

I'm 18 years old and in the same boat. Living at my boyfriends, no job, no money. However, if you go to school (college) financial aid will help and if your pregnant or have a child less than 5 they give you more. It benefits you both and also WIC is a good program to get onto. They provide you with checks for food and formula if you don't breast feed however they are pro breast-feeding and supply classes to help you out. Theres alot you can do just stay positive about it.

I agree with unimom. Think of it as you're off to a fresh start and all the things you do from now are steps toward being a good mom. Choose what's best over what's better.
Read a lot, ask a lot. Have a positive attitude and truly enjoy life's essences.

Please see my new book on amazon called millennimum decade of pregnancy and breastfeeding
I was only 16 when I fell pregnant on our first and now in the year 2010 just gone I am still breast feeding our 6th.
It's great for the young mum
Full of my own photos, tips and experiences and full of facts
I have had 6 home births with no pain relief and breast fed them all
I am now 27
The book is very reassuring and gives you choices of how you would like to do things
From one young mum to another
You may have seen me in the media already xx

For people who enjoy playing puzzle games and sharing photos, there's a new iPhone app called StarFaces that combines the two activities in one slick package.
The StarFaces app enables you to play and share personalized puzzle games made from your own photos.
Link to About Starfaces page with complete copy, video, screenshots. (http://www.starface.me/about/index.html)
Link to download the app (http://itunes.com/apps/starfaces)
Here's some games other people made and you can pick these up on iTunes also :)

I saw somebody else mention WIC, and they are correct in saying that WIC is extremely helpful! I don't have time to breastfeed because I have a part time job and school, and WIC pays for almost all of my daughters formula. I am 19 also, but my boyfriend and I are lucky to have jobs that allow to be mostly independent from our parents. If you or your boyfriends parents are willing to give you a place to live for a couple of years, I do suggest getting a degree. If you don't want to commute to a school, find an online one.
About your boyfriend- he may be just as nervous as you are, but guys don't always show it. Find out what hospital you'll be having your baby and see if you and your boyfriend can take prenatal/parenting classes there. Maybe taking those will get him talking some more. Just take care of your child the best you can and give her all your love, I'm sure you'll be a fantastic mom!
