Waiting

I have such a hard time waiting the two weeks after ovulation to see if I'm pregnant, it drives me crazy as it is all I think about. I spend the whole time wondering if I am pregnant and trying not to get my hopes up. What do you do to keep your mind off it or are you like me?

I know. We are "leaving it open" and I always wonder. I am late right now, but I also have had a lot of stress this month, so I think I ovulated late. If that is the case, then I am not due for a few more days.

I just keep working and try to not think about it, and have a "test date" in mind (usually a Saturday, so I don't have to go to work the day I find a positive :-) If I have that in mind I know the wait is limited - either I will get AF by that date, or I test on that date :-)

Good luck - and take the time to enjoy being baby-less. There are so many things that you can't do once baby is around (like stay up too late watching a movie with hubby and then sleep in the next day undisturbed :-) Baby is great, but so was baby-less time too :-)

Thanks for the advice. I have have a little girl at home that will be three next month and I had a miscarriage a couple months ago. My doctor said I could try again and I feel like the waiting is worse than the previous two times. I try to keep my mind off it but it always seems to go back.

A three year old, so you know what it is like to sleep again at night? I hope :-)
I can't imagine having to cope with a miscarrage, but I can imagine that makes the anticipation even harder. I wish you the best.

i feel the same way, i hate this trying phase cuz its a constant cycle of ovulating, yay!, waiting, then disappointment, more waiting and starts over. I am currently 3 days late for AF tho and had told myself i wasn't going to test until the 28th, but startin to feel naseous a lot and just can't wait anymore so going to test first thing in the am.

I have found the MAGIC PREGNANCY TEST! So, the Saturday after my last post above, I was 6 days late and took the test. It was negative, and later that day I got my period. Funny enough, the EXACT SAME thing happened the previous month when I was 2 days late. So, aparently, if you don't want a baby, this particular pack of tests will bring on your period within 6 hours of peeing on the stick. I told you they were magic. :-) So now another month to wait. ;-)
