I'm 5 weeks along as well! My due date is April 22nd and I get to have my first ultrasound in two weeks! Has anyone else been to the doctor yet? What are your first symptoms? Mine right now are fatigue and some breasts tenderness. How long have you been trying. My dh and I have been trying since January and were very excited this Wednesday when the doctor said Congratulations!

I am 5 weeks!! My due date is April 28th. I've been really tired lately and my breast are so tender. My husband and I were trying for about 10 months but wanted it to happen naturally. My doctors appointment is not for a few more weeks. >>>Congrats Mommy's<<<

Hey everyone!! I'm 10weeks, due 4/13/11! It's my first pregnancy, super excited just super nauseous!! I'm not vomiting, just nauseous if I don't eat something every 1.5-2 hours. and all I can manage is carbs!! like crackers, knishes, croissants, etc. and random headaches on top of that! it really stinks. im not even worried about weight like i should be. it's just a matter of doing whatever it takes to stop the nausea! ive tried ginger, tea, crackers, ginger ale, etc... I just really hopes this passes at the end of the first trimester like everyone says!

I am due on April 17, 2011 with my first child! I am so excited to be in week 12 and feeling much better! I'm hoping that this will continue because I was very sick for weeks 4-11. I'm hoping the 2nd trimester will be easier! I am even beginning to show a little already. Is anyone else showing yet?

Hi Ladies! My name is April, I'm 13 weeks tomorrow, due April 12, 2011 and so grateful! I did not feel well from week 3 until week 11! So I know how you feel! Last Thursday I heard my baby's heart beat and suddenly I didn't care about being sick for weeks! Moments like that make it all worth it..ya know?

congrats guys! Im not sure if I'm 'showing' but I definetly look like it. I dont think it's a baby bump, its 95% the 12-15lbs I've packed on!! I'll be 13 weeks tom and I'm not feeling any better. I'm still nauseous all the time. The only relief I can get is eating every hour and a half - two hours....hence, all the extra weight!!! hoping to get over this nausea and constant headaches!!!
anyone start registry stuff yet??

This I can relate to! I had put on 12 pounds initially but I lost 5 since I've been sick with the sinus funk! I am 14 weeks today and due on April 5 with my first! We are so excited! Congrats to all you lovely ladies! We can all celebrate this together! Me and my sister at both April babies so we are excited to have my first child and her first neice/nephew born in the same month!

I've registered for stuff...there's so much stuff! And this is SO much more fun than wedding registries!!! :-)

Diana, wow,12-15 pounds! I'm 13 weeks as of yesterday and as far as I know, I haven't gained anything yet...I just lost 5 pounds last week! I did set up a registry, actually about 3 LOL, If you haven't already set one up, you should go for it...it's so much fun!

LoL, "wow" is right! Well, I can't really help it... if I don't eat every hour and a half-2 hours, nausea sets in. I'm an average size woman and I always said that I wouldn't become a whale when I became pregnant....not that I will lol but hey, at this point, it's about not being nauseous since I work full-time. I'm not eating fastfood and soda. I'm eating pretty healthy, just alot lol... if it's what my body needs, so be it. I guess I'll have lots of work after April lol
by the way, is anyone else afraid of breastfeeding? lol
I really want to since it's best but I've heard so many horror stories about the pain, sores, cracks, yikes!!

so I'm getting close to 14 weeks, still nauseous and still having headaches.
I still think it's a tad soon for registries. I'm not finding out the sex so I'll keep things neutral. In the meantime, I'm researching products...comparing carseats and strollers...
why are there so many options?!?
This is also my first child so I'm not even 100% sure about what I even need lol

Yeah, I'm also scared to breastfeed...some of those pictures in the baby books of red, sore, cracked nipples are terrifying! On the other hand, breast milk is the best source of nutrition and the best way to build your baby's immune system! But HEY, maybe just maybe the negative side of breastfeeding won't happen to any of the 2011 mothers... lol (wishful thinking)! Apparently, my prenatal pills were making me sicker so my doctor suggested Flinstones Complete....Can you believe it!! I wanted to laugh at them but when I compared the two, Flinstones Complete actually has all of the same vitamins and minerals a prenatal pill has...and I feel so much better! Anywho... ttyl

APRILAAG, my doc suggested the same thing to me and I laughed too. He just said as long as I'm taking something it didn't really matter what it was. But he also said that if I couldn't take it, not to stress too much because we typically get most of what we need anyway just to eat as healthy as possible. I'm a little nervous about breastfeeding too but hopefully there are enough tips and ointments out there to keep things from getting too...bad. :-)

Hi there! I'm due on April 10th also! This is our first and we're so excited. Everything is going well for us as I hope the same for you. I'd also like to chat with someone due around my time too. Also, I'd be interested in chatting with someone whose done IVF.

Diana, I can relate. Its different than a "fat roll" because its hard! LOL! Its hard to put my socks on, bend over, and a number of other things. I haven't felt the ligament cramps yet. What does that feel like?

so the stretching feels like period cramps lol
at least thats what i think it is!

keehmer-you're definietly not alone! im 15 weeks today and its my first. Im not exactly a happy and excited pregnant lady. im pretty sick and im gaining so much weight! my problem is nausea but only relieved by eating. so i was at the doctor on monday and he says that my condition is impossible so according to him, i eat due to stress and i only make myself sick. so all im doing is hurting myself and my baby. so he recommends i see a therapist!
can u imagine what a mess i was...
so hang in there....im trying to get through all this crap too

My first Child is due April 4, 2011. I am proceeding on 21 weeks. Found out I will be having a sweet baby girl. I was lucky I didn't have any issues in the beginning of my pregnancy besides being exhausted and overwheled with joy. My birthday is the 17 of April and I turn 22...wish me luck I don't go over my due date and give birth on my own birthday.

My name is Susanne and I am a doctoral student in Social Psychology at Kent State University. I am interested in how mothers prepare for the changes of parenthood and to examine this I am currently conducting a study that will include approximately 100 first-time mothers. If you are married or living with your significant other and expecting your first child you may be eligible to participate in my study. My study has already received approval from Kent State’s Institutional Review Board. Participation is confidential and involves two short online questionnaires (the first during your 3rd trimester and the second at 1-month postpartum). I hope that the results of the study will provide helpful information to future mothers as they make the joyous and challenging transition to being a parent. For more information about the study, please contact me at babytime@kent.edu.
