Im 21 and Me and my husband are having our first baby boy! We are so excited. But we have a problem, He wants to name him after his dad, Mark. I cant stand the name. But he has already told his dad thats what we are naming him mark. We both love the name Lance. But he wants to name the second son lance. He has told me that he isnt fond of the name Mark either. But it would make his dad happy. All I can think about is what about me.. I think that if i name my son mark i will hate it. help. anyone have any ideas?

It would be really hard to deal with this situation...that said, maybe you could suggest it be a middle name instead of his 1st name. If you both really don't like the name you should continue to talk about it and why he feels he has to please his dad.

or not say anything and when you're son is born, name him Lance or whatever and just say you changed your mind the minute you saw your son! who's going to argue with you when you have an adorable baby in your arms?

Just tell dad honestly that you have decided of another name and not naming the baby after him. I think he won't mind as he knows that you as parents have the right to name your children the way you want. Lol
