Hi!
We've been very happily married for 9 years and trying to conceive for 8. After a bit of a roller coaster of miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies and IVFs, we're hoping to find a special person who would be willing to donate her eggs, to help us to have our much wanted child/children. We have funding, therefore, all travel, medical etc. costs will be covered.
We're 37 years of age, both teachers, love the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
A bit more about us ...
We were both born in the UK, Chris in Wales and me in the North of England. We met in the Middle East where we both taught for 10 years. We talked about children on our second date (I always wanted lots of them and Chris was happy to go along with that!), but little did we know!
We got engaged a year after we met and married a year after that in Fiji. It took nearly a year for me to fall pregnant and I had an ectopic pregnancy at 10 weeks. We tried again naturally, but months went by and nothing happened, so I visited a doctor and then started taking drugs to stimulate more eggs. I got pregnant but had another ectopic. It was after that, that we were advised IVF was the next step. So, we started down the IVF journey and from 8 IVFs, 2 worked, but both ended in early miscarriages. I also got pregnant naturally in between 2 of the IVFs, but miscarried then too. My fallopian tubes are quite badly damaged (one was removed a couple of years ago) and I only produce a small number of eggs which aren't very good quality. Looking on the positive side of all this, we believe that the ups and downs have made us stronger! We have a great relationship, are very happy people and enjoy life. Chris’s sperm is good, so we’re hoping that an egg donor will be the answer!
We moved to NZ in 2008 and love the life here. I teach a Year 3 and 4 class in a small school and Chris teaches secondary Physics.
In our spare time, we enjoy camping, playing golf (Chris plays regularly but I’m more of a holiday player!), walking, exploring new places and cycling. Chris also enjoys rowing and following soccer, rugby and any other sport he get's chance to keep up with! I also enjoy horse riding, gardening, cooking and am learning to play the guitar!
If you think that you could be that special person we're looking for, or if you’d just like to know more about us, ask any questions, etc., we’d really love to hear from you.
