Gerber baby food recall - lead

I received an email from Modern Mom (Modernmom.com) and it described a recall of food and juice made by Gerber, Earths Best, Del Monte, Dole, Motts, Trader Joe's because of lead. The article is dated June 17th. I can't find any information on this except for the modern mom website. Has anyone heard about this?

I don't understand why a formal recall from cpsc.gov hasn't been authorized...maybe I don't know the whole story...

I heard the same thing on Our365.com and they provided the link to the article and a list of all 125 products that tested positive for lead over the federal limit. The article reporting this is from NYDailyNews.com. I live in Arizona, and I guess one of the televised newscast mentioned it briefly. From what I understand the testing was done by an outside source. An "official" investigation will have to be done, and then a recall can be posted. Thats bureaucracy for you. Until then I'd stay away from those brands completely, who knows if some of their other products contain lead that just haven't been tested yet.
