It has actually become pretty popular. I've also seen it spelled Xander (from Alexander). Would I put it on my kid? Probably not. Would I think it weird if you put it on your kid? Heck no!

I like it a lot! But when I mentioned it to my hubby for our baby, he vetoed it.

I like it much more as a nickname. What about Alexander nn Xander? Or, Xavier for a similar feel.

I think its cute.

I prefer names that aren't strange (causing the kid to get made fun of in school) but aren't common (one of 900 kids in the school with the same name).

Ex: My son's name is Roman. Its not abnormal, but its far from overused.

I don't like Xander or Alex as nn but LOVE Alexander I know one wee Zander his parents tossed up between Xander and Zander and went with Xander.

I *LIKE* IT! Pair it with a simple, common, american middle name and you're set! I bet he'd be the only one in his entire school with that name... and since it is so close to Alexander, and Xander, people won't go "what?! how'd you come up with that!? It's weird" LOL

I love the name Zander or Xander. This was a name my husband and I toyed with but decided on a different name. I say go with it.

Oh that was the name I wanted for my baby (if this one is a boy), except spelled Xander. I adore the name, but my husband said he would see Vin Diesel in XXX every time he said it so he ruled it out. I am very disappointed, but what to do!
