Ummm... postpartum sex

what will happen if my husband and i had sex b4 the 6 weeks are even up? ok... we had our daughter by c section... she's a month today... but we are soooo hot for eachother... and we're dying to make love. is it ok? i mean... it's been 4 weeks and we're going crazy. it'd be so funny if we waited the 6 weeks and didn't even want it anymore. lol. please help. what should we do? we "play" and stuff... but it's hardly enough for the both of us. would it be safe to have sex already?

It's only two more weeks, but if you must...call your ob/gyn and get his/her opinion. I wouldn't think you'd want to tear your incision and have to have it repaired, then start your wait all over again. :D

Hey Just_us4,My fiancee and I were the same way:) We tried to have intercourse 4/5 weeks after;It hurt to much for me,but I had my son vaginally.It also hurt a bit after the 6 weeks too though cause I tore on the inside.I agree with 1st time mom again~You should contact your doctor to see if it could hurt your stiches/incisions?Good Luck and remember It is only a couple more weeks;)

With our first child we had sex at 3 weeks postpartum. It hurt a teeny bit but he was gentle and in the end was perfectly fine. And then the next time we did it it was much better! Just take it slow. With my second child we did it 4 weeks and there was no discomfort at all!!! :) Have fun!
