Well I have been reading posts for a while now and I have never been able to post. I just registered again today becuase for some reason the first time obviously didnt work right.
I am looking for opinions on a book Im trying to put together for a friend.

I have 4 other friends who are due between April and Sept. It’s crazy. One of my friends in particular is having her 1st child. I came up with an idea for her and I wanted to see what you all thought.

I want to put together a little book regarding the everyday challenges we face as mothers and how we are able to get through. Do you think it’s a good idea/ would it be something you would be interested in. I think it’s a great idea. I want it to be real. I like someof the books out their but many are so medical if you know what I mean. Not personal. I know I would have loved it and still would but I want the opinions of others.

My main purpose in doing this is because as a mom of two I have always wondered how everyone else has gotten through. I found it helpful when I finally started to talk about things more. I found many others stories comforting. Knowing I wasn’t alone.

So please let me know what you think. My plan is to get true stories form mothers like us. So, if anyone would be interested in contributing let me know. Those you help and info is used will get a copy. So far I have many family members and friends interested but I thought I would reach out to other mothers too. I’m by no means trying to be pushy. I would love to hear you think it’s a great idea and would love to help. But it doesn’t matter either way. I appreciate the support I get hear no matter what.

Thanks!!! Sorry this was soo long!!

Nicole

In my circle, there's also 4 of us that are expecting, myself with the 3rd, two others with their 1st and now one with their 2nd. I find myself answering questions and support to one friend on a weekly basis...I think your book would be great!!
I know this has a been a "shower party" at a couple baby showers I had been at and every time I saw the new mom cry and tell everyone how much she appreciated the advice and support from everyone. Plus...if people can put their advice down in writing, maybe they wouldn't be so willing to give it to strangers with big bellies in grocery stores!! I was crabby the other day and just told one very nosy old man I had gained weight and not expecting!! should have seen his face! priceless!
I would be willing to contribute stories, advice on what worked for my family in different situations etc...Let me know what things you're interested in

I think it's a great idea too. Sometimes the most valuable information is just knowing that you are not alone and you are not crazy. It really does help to talk to others who have been in the same situation or just read their stories. I'd be happy to share some hints for what has worked for me. I'm a stay-at-home mom of two (ages 5 and 2.)
