Please share your experiences as far as going back to work after having the baby. How long did it take for you to recover?
Im due Sept. 22 and would like to go back to work on or before mid-Oct. I know it could vary on how fast your body can recuperate from giving birth. Also, I know it differs if you had a C-section or normal delivery. Please share! Thank you!

Hey, happy to hear from another mom that decided that going back to work, wasnt a deadly sin.
I had my daughter in 04. She was 6 weeks old when I went back to work, fulltime.
I delivered naturally, and went in for my 6 week check-up, the day I was scheduled to return to work. (My employer didnt waste time taking away my maternity leave).
If I would have had a C-section, I would have been given 8 weeks. I didnt get post-partum either or have any other complications after her birth.

I have been working full time since I was 16 years old. I was happy to be back at work, and back to "normal". I do wish I would have had more time, but it just wasnt an option for me. I do regret that I missed some of my daughters 1st's, and can never get those back. I also think since it has been this way since she was born, its natural for me to go to work, and then have our mommy days (Thats what we call my days off). It gives us both something to look forward too!

I am now pregnant with #2 (Edd 1/22/09) and I will be a SAHM after this birth. We decided that it just isnt worth paying daycare for 2 kids. I will pick up a side job, or offer to babysit for some kids in the neighborhood to make extra cash.

Good Luck
