Not able to delete post.

I can't figure out how to delete one of my posts. I click on the "Edit/Delete" icon in the bottom left corner, and it brings me to the the screen where you can edit the post and put in a "reason for editing", but as far as I can tell there is no way to actually remove the post. I even tried deleting all of the text in the text block and putting "Delete" in the "reason for editing" box, but it told me that there had to be a minimum number of characters...still not giving me an option to delete. I've tried several times. Am I just missing something simple or not seeing something on the screen? Do I have to be in a certain browser to delete a post?

I did find quasi-solution by just editing the post and saying something differently (I wanted to delete the original post because I felt I was sharing more information than was comfortable.) , but I would still like the option to completely remove a post. Can anyone help?

Okay, after checking the older threads in the Help section I found the answer to my question: posts can only be edited and not deleted. If this is indeed the case, than I'd like to suggest to the webmaster or powers-that-be to change the Edit/Delete icon to just be the Edit icon. As it is now, it's kind of misleading.
