now what else? I also got my Mayo Clinic guide to a healthy pregnancy book in mail (although it looks more like a reference manual)
what else should I be doing, we're looking to try and get preggers by the end of the year hopefully...I have some big questions to consider first I think, but I'm not even sure what questions I have
Any other good books people suggest getting? What else can I do now to help me in the pregnancy...also should I wait to get baby stuff until I'm actually pregnant (so I don't jinx myself)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That is so exciting that you're trying to get pregnant!
As far as buying baby stuff, it might be fun for you to go buy something small like a onesie or a hat and some booties just to continue the excitement about all of it. But don't spend too much money, or buy any large gear (crib, strollers, etc.) until you are pregnant because you could change your mind on what you'd like as you go along, or what colors you want in the nursery.
I hope everything goes well for you!

hi yummy! best of luck to you & your SO, I hope things happen the way you want them to (and soon) :) some things I can recommend that I've read, that might help..
- Stop drinking and smoking, if you do either, at all.
- Keep exercising, or if you don't currently exercise, try to get more.. the healthier your body is, the more ready it will be to take on a baby
- Try to eat healthily.. not go on a diet, unless you -are- overweight (that'll help you, but do it by eating right and exercising); just try to focus on eating fresh foods and meals where you know what's mostly in it (salt, fat, etc.)
- Avoid stress and stressful situations, and try not to bottle up your emotions.. the less stressed you are, there again you're helping yourself be healthy/healthier
Keep us posted on how you go :)
I really liked the book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Some people like it, others say no thanks. It's mostly about how to know your body and your cycle, in order to get pregnant (or to keep from getting pregnant). It just requires a little paying attention and some charting. I got pregnant during my first cycle of charting (charting temperatures, cervical fluid patterns, etc.). Now, I may have gotten pregnant anyway without charting, but because I charted I know the exact dates of my last period and of conception.
Personally, paying attention and knowing what part of my cycle i was in helped me relax and not stress about trying to get pregnant. I knew when I was ovulating and when I could just focus on the fun of sex without pressure.

Have fun trying a lot!
