I've never done anything like this-- but I'm curious. What were the reasons your Dr. had you do this? Do you not ovulate? Are you not regular? The reason I ask- it's been almost 12 months of trying and I'm wondering if I should approach my Dr. about something to stimulate ovulation? I've always been able to get pregnant in the past but I've had 6 miscarriages... (I did carry my daugher to term in Oct 05 though) Like I've said- I can usually get pregnant, just not carry it... and genetic testing on the last miscarriage said that everything is normal. But now it's been almost a year since my last pregnancy, I'll be 35 in November-- wondering if this is a feasible option to kickstart the process....

Well We Tried 2 Cycles Of Clomid With No Ovulation At All And We Were Refered To The Art Program. We Met With The Doctor And Disscussed My History. My Periods Had Stopped In January. She Said I Could Try The Injections. We Did And I Have Had Several Ultra Sounds Since Taking The Last Shot And I Had A Lot Of Follicles About To Mature And Release!! We Will Know If We Are Preg. On The 25th Of This Month!! Oh And After I Found The Most Comfortable Spot I Didnt Even Feel My Husband Giving The Shots!!! So Check It Out And Good Luck!!!!

One suggestion is that because you have to keep the unopened packages of follistim refrigerated, when you need to grab a new one, warm it up in your hands for a little bit. It takes the sting out of the shot. You only need to worry about that when you open a new package. Your other doses from that vial will not sting you. Hope that helps a bit!
