Sexyred173 I was really sick with my daughter who is 5. Two trimesters of morning sickness and the flu twice. With this one I haven't been sick. I have been totally exhausted with this pregnancy. It doesn't help that I already have a good size baby belly.

Congrats everyone! I'm sure everyone is super excited! I know we are. I have a daughter who will be 4 in August, she is so excited to be a big sister and has been asking me for a little brother or sister for quite some time! She keeps saying we are having a boy and a girl.
Collmecolleen- Oh, thats what I'm looking forward to the most at our fist doctors appt. I mean I know im pregnant, but it just like verifies it when you hear the heatbeat! Lucky you that you already got to hear it!!! I have to wait 2 more weeks.
abinsumma- Wow, you were sick for quite awhile! Let's hope with this one you wont be. A good size belly already?? Do you think it's twins?? When do you go to your first appt.?
Again congrats to everyone! I'm glad we are all in this together so we can compare notes and what not for our pregnancies.

Everyone here at work seems to think it may be twins. I am not so sure myself. I go for my first actual appointment with the doctor on the 22nd. I've already gone and done all the questions and had the blood work done.
My daughter is very excited as well. She was saying she only wanted a sister but now if ok whether its a boy or girl.

Hello everyone. My husband and I are expecting our second in Jan. I'm guessing around the 15th. My first appointment is the 9th of this month. We are very excited and have been "trying" since August. Congrats to all you new mommies to be:)
I have been feeling tired and nauseaus. But no vomiting as of yet. With my first one I was sick til about 5 months. I haven't told a lot of people yet. We are waiting til we hear the hearbeat.

abisumma- You'll have to let us know whether twins or not when you got to your first appt.! When you got your blood work was your level high?
My husband thinks we are having twins too but just because we did IUI to get pregnant and I had 2 eggs on one side and 2 on the other. But pretty the sure just 2 of the eggs on the one side released because they were the biggest and those 2 were the same size. I'm fine either way but i'm thinking we are only having 1 baby. We will see on Friday at our 1st docotors appt.

JessS1011- Congrats!! How did your first appt. go?
Oh, I thought I would add that while I haven't been having any morning sickness it started on Wednesday. UGHHH.... I feel sick all day and throw up a few times a day. I have a hard time eating too, nothing sounds good to me anymore! Anyone else having a hard time eating?

First appt went great. Everything is going well. We have our first ultrasound on July 7th. We are getting the first trimester screen done. I like to know everything is perfect:)
I had only been nauseaus for the most part, but starting Tuesday of this week not a day has gone by that I haven't vomited. I did not miss this part of pregnancy.
How is everyone else doing? Had Dr's appts yet? Who is going to find out the sex?

Where is everyone? I feel all alone in the Jan birth club.
Just wondering how everyone else is doing? Things seem to be going normally here. Except I just feel uncomfortable. I don't remember if I felt this uncomfortable this early last time.
Well I hope everyone is doing well.

Hey all!! I am prego with my 3rd! I have to boys, and im hoping for a girl this go around as it is my last! Due Jan 18th, but i have an u/s friday the 2nd to verify dates. Last delivery nearly killed me, so im a bit worried about this one! So about how far do you have to be to find out the sex of the baby? Last time i had to wait until 23 weeks!

Last time I found out between 18 and 20 weeks. I think it depends on your Dr. My Dr. doesn't do a lot of ultrasounds. Just two. and those are for screenings and to make sure the baby is growing ok. I think the earliest you can tell is 16, but I could be wrong. Good luck on your girl. I would love a girl as well. First one was a boy. But i'm hoping for a girl more for the rest of my family. My poor mother in law had three boys. now she has three grandsons. she is due a little girl to spoil:)
Hope your pregnancy goes well.

A friend of mine had a u/s at 15 weeks and found out its a girl. Im hoping i dont have to wait till 23 weeks again. My whole family is wanting me to have a girl, My mother-in-law has 8 grandkids, and all boys! And i realy think my boys need a sister too! And it seems like the more pregnancies i have the sooner i start to show! I look like im about 5 months already.

My appointment went well. There is only one baby. A friend still thinks that the second one is hiding behind this one. My levels were high but it just means that this baby isn't going anywhere.
I have been feeling pretty good. Still completely exhausted. The only other issue is that the later in the day it gets the more nauseas I am. I am ready for the second trimester. As of now I am 10 weeks and 3 days. The times going by pretty fast.
Where is everyone on here from?

i know what you mean about starting to show earlier. im at 12 weeks today and i feel huge. i outgrew most of my work clothes last week. ive been wearing maternity clothes already. i remember not wearing maternity clothes til 5 months last time. its ok though, except for the fact that other than my boss i havent told anyone that i am pregnant. so they probably just think im getting fat. i also just started to feel pregnant this week too. i have my ultra sound for my first trimester sceen wed and i am excited about it:) I cant wait to see him/her.
Hope everyone is feeling well.
Im from New York.

Hi i'm new to this website so bare with me, I am due Jan 2nd, I am 14 weeks and 1 day prego, with my first, me and my hubby have been trying officially since November,
I havent had any morning sickness, just heartburn and food aversions/cravings, lately i have been having a feeling on my upper belly where it feels like my muscles are stretching a way they never have before, only when I stretch or bend down to grab something.
all my friends think im having a girl because the top off my belly is sticking out a little more than usual, and the heartbeat has always been around 155 bpm, I have had 2 ultrasounds, the first one it was just a peanut shaped thing, and i had my second last week for the first tri screening it was cool to see it jump and spin and actually moving!! everything came back normal so that was great, my doctor wants me back around my 16 wk mark to see the sex of the baby, but i was thinking 18 wks just to be safe!
I also know the feeling that maternity clothes are a must, my pants are still fitting ok its just my shirts that are all tight!!!
I am from Duluth MN USA

had my ultrasound today. everything looks great. baby has all limbs and a nose and lips:) heartbeat is 164/min, so i think its a girl. not really, probably a boy. but its fun to pick on my husband about it.
hope everyone is doing well:)

How is everyone feeling? I am so much better than I was in the begining. Anyone found out the sex yet? I don't have my next appt til the 5th. And then I will make the appt ofr the ultra sound. I don't really have a feeling either way. My husbands family is good at making boys so that's probably the way it will go.
Hope everyone is well.

I've been feeling pretty good. The extreme tiredness hasn't gone away but with an almost 6 yr old and a full time job its hard to rest. I have my next appointment on the 17th and we will then make our ultrasound appt to find out the sex. With his family it seems that all the boys end up with girls and the one girl has gotten the only boy. We will see.
Anyone have names picked out? So far for a boy we have Peyton just working on a middle name either Matthew or Allen. Then for a girl we have a few: Payton, Campbell, Dayton, Libby. We will see!!
JessS1011
07-30-2010, 07:25 AM
I have been thinking about names.
I really like Jaylyn and Reagan both with the middle name Elaine. Elaine is a family name.
And for a boy I like Jameson and Ian with the middle name Randall. Randall is a family name as well.
I feel like once we find out the sex the name will fall into place. That is what happened last time anyway. I think that names are the hardest thing. It's something that needs to fit when they are young and when they grow up. Most kids do seem to grow into their names though.
I feel for you with the tiredness. Mine isnt as bad but I am having a hard time making it through a day at work with out wanting to lay on my desk. By the time I get home though it is too late to nap. I would rather just get to bed early. I also have another child at home. He is two though. And luckily for me my husband is a teacher so he has been home all summer and he has been doing most of the home stuff.
Hope everyone is feeling great. Wish the board was a little more active, but I think in a month or so when everyone really feels and looks pregnant it will liven up:)

Hope things are going well for everyone.

had a checkup yesterday. everything looks good. we are having another ultrasound because at the last one they were unable to get a good look at her spine. we dont have to, all the tests have been neg, but i look forward to any chance to see her:)
we still havent decided on a name. im sure it will be a battle to the end. He really loves Payton, but I don't love it. I want something girlier. And im stuck on Jayla or Jaylyn because my little brother passed away last Jan and the baby is due in Jan. His name was Jason. So I thought it might be a nice tribute. Still working on the convincing. So far I still have my middle name:)
Hope everyone is feeling great. Prob looking forward to the HOT summer to end. I love the heat, just not at work. I need to be floating around in a pool.

any one have names picked yet? Im at 22 weeks. Glad to have made it over the halfway mark! We are getting another ultrasound on Wed since they weren't able to get a real good measurement of the spine last time. There are really no worries of a defect, I just want to see her again:)
I have been having heartburn and indigestion like crazy. I wake up almost every night in pain. Never experienced it with my first, I am not a big fan!
Well I hope things are going well for you all. Share names if you come up with anything. We are thinking Briana. But it really changes on a daily basis.

I am due 1/12/11 according to my cylce and 1/7/11 according to the ultrasound. I do not know what I am having, we are not finding out the gender, but we are hoping for a boy. I have 2 daughters and one son, so we'd like a boy to even the score If it is a boy, he will be a junior, I don't even think about girl names because my husband and I don't really agree on the types of names that we like, so I avoid the battle. When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter, we didn't discuss girl names either. When she came out, the nursed asked, "what's her name" and my husband dreamily said "Mia", which is my deceased mother's name, so I had no problems with it. However, this time, I'm not so comfy with him just calling out a name, especially if its not something I like, so I just hope its a boy! lol

Good morning:) how is everyone feeling? need an opinion on names.
Payton, Teagan, or Devin. All middle name Elaine. And it's for a girl. I have come to the conclusion that my husband would prefer our daughter have a more masculine name. I would really like a girlier name. So we are trying compromise. I think he's winning though... I won't give up Elaine though.
Oh and the ultra sound turned out great. She looks wonderful. She is very active. We ended up being able to see her in 4D because the ultrasound person had some extra time. Way cool, but kind of creepy!
Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying the cool weather.

Are you all still there? Haven't heard from anyone in a while. I think we have chosen a name. For today...

Opinions? Hope everyone is feeling great and enjoying the end of the second trimester. Crazy to think how close we are to the holidays and in turn how close the new babies:)

I am still here. On Sunday I will be 31 weeks. Where has the time gone? Libby is doing great. We had another ultrasound the other day and they are saying that right now she weighs 3lb 9 oz. I have been having some pressure and come to find out that is because she already has her head right down there. I have her butt up at the top of my tummy and her feet are to one of my sides.
Amedson22 I haven't had to deal with a premie before so all I can say is good luck and be prepared to go home alone. A friend of the family had thier little one 6 weeks early and they weren't prepared at all to leave him behind. Please keep us updated though.
JessS1011 Corrine is different and thats what I like about it. I must admit my favorite name thought is Payton. We almost named our baby that whether a boy or girl.

Nice to see another name on here:) Glad things are going well. We have decided on the name Hayden Elaine. I am 32 weeks as of yesterday. I can not believe how fast it is going!! Only eight weeks to go and I figure with the holidays things will fly by. I am all done Christmas shopping with the exception of 3 people. And I know what I am getting just need to get it. I even have the majority of my stuff wrapped. I feel so prepared.
I am very excited for Thanksgiving and will probably spend the rest of the week baking. I don't cook the dinner, we eat at my mother in laws, but I do bake desserts and breads.
Have a good Thanksgiving!!
