I'm hoping someone can give me a little advice on a bedwetting problem.
My 6yo DD was a late potty trainer and still wets the bed at night. This is not what concerns me as I wet at night until I was 10 and my 8yo dd still wets as well. The problem is that even though she wets at night, when she wakes up in the morning already soaked, she will simply pee in her nighttime pull-up.
Today, I woke her up and told her to go into the bathroom, take her pull-up off, and rinse off in the tub. Her PJ's were still dry at that point. I went to wake her sister and when I walked back into her room maybe a minute later and I could see her standing there obviously peeing her pull-up as it overflowed and soaked her PJ's and the carpet. Unfortunately, this scenario has become pretty typical over the last few weeks.
My question is, how can I stop this? I have tried talking to her about it. I have tried putting her in underwear (that just makes more laundry unfortunately). Is this something I should take her to a child psychologist for? Am I overreacting and should I simply consider getting something more absorbent and not worry about it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
