I have a 16 month old daughter. She got her 1st tooth at 10 months, the second one came right after that one then....they stopped!! I took her to the doctor a month ago b/c im worried there might be something wrong. He said her top 6 teeth should be in soon....and there not! Her gums are swollen and i can see some white, but its been that way for weeks! She will have one looking like its poking through and the next day it gone! I have looked for all the signs but heres the problem. She has severe acid reflux disease so she has always drooled ALOT. She is also on pediasure so her lose stools i dont know to attribute to the teething or her drinks. Im just curious has this happend to anyone else? Is there anything i should be looking for? Is it normal for childrens teeth to come then stop for 6 months!! Im getting really nervous and frusturated. Hopefully i can get some help!!

Hmmm...I don't really have an answer, but if it was me, I'd call my dentist (or a pediatric dentist). Odds are everything is normal, but if you're desperate for peace of mind (been there!), they'd be the ones who'd know. :)

My daughter didn't get her first tooth until 14 mos. There was a lull, and then a couple weeks of pure teething hell while more and more sprung up, then another lull, then more teeth! I wouldn't worry too much. Just enjoy the lulls.

I think that everything is fine. My sons teeth did a little bit of that. I was able to see the white and then it was gone the next day. They do come in and the drooling is a good thing. You know they are teething. I would not be to concerned. I was always told that the later the teeth came in the straighter they would be.
