Hi ladies,

Here is my situation: I have had two miscarriages, I am no longer in my twenties and I am a very active mom who works out with her family 5 days a week. Due to the past two miscarriages, my dr tells me that the only exercise I can get is walking. I am 11 weeks along and I feel that just giving up my activities has made me become tired, I get home and all I want to do is lay on the couch. I am sick of fast food cause I have no energy to cook.

I am looking for routines, DVD suggestions, workout programs in the community to look into, anything to help me give my body a jump start.

During the weekend, I began to get my appetite back, so I naturally thought that my first trimester symptoms were dimenishing, but for the first time ever, I literally grabbed my sweater, locked my office door and took a nap on the floor!

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!

Can you do yoga? I have a prenatal dvd from shiva rae, it is about 45min to an hour long. I like the stretches and breathing exercise (which can help get oxygen to the bloodstream without being hard onthe body). Also, are you walking at all? Sometimes getting out in the fresh air to walk can make you feel better too. Good luck!!

Being so tired is tough. I'm 32 weeks and I've had plenty of ups and downs with my energy regardless of if I was exercising or not. When I would start to feel guilty for taking a nap I had to remind myself of how good those naps were for my baby, and that's the most important thing.

I do have a prenatal pilates dvd. It's gentle for a pregnant body, and really helps with not only energy but breathing technique as well. It also helps me a lot with pinched nerves and back pain, especially in this last trimester. The DVD is: 10 Minute Solution: Prenatal Pilates (2007), it's under $10 at Amazon.com.

Good luck, I hope things go well with your pregnancy!
