MC find a cure

My son is 2 yrs and its been a year with MC . i have read lots about it and there is not much research done on it to find a cure . why what etc...

treatment choices include:

Removing the viral material in the center by scraping the center briskly (curettage).
Freezing the skin growth (cryotherapy).
Putting medication on the skin (topical medication).
Taking medication by mouth (oral medication).

When the Pediatrician saw said its cause of sweat and when it started to spread i was worried and searched on internet and knew its mc . took my son to Pediatrician .. "nothing to worry it will go on its own" Then 2 more. i have been 6 times to the Pediatrician. My son has it on his face and one on the eye and under the eye. He had running nose and rubbing mc and spreading it on cheeks. 2 of then started to bleed. i wiped with dry tissue and it came off and then blood thought its gone but i can still see them. Sometimes when it grows big you can see the centre a white point coming out. Now on body.

I went to DERMATOLIGIST. They wanted to put some liquid. i asked for ointment. They said no this is spread its virus, you have to get it treated. I have spent a year reading about MC. And i know as its on face the liquid will leave marks on face. I told them it will leave marks on his face, they say even mc will leave marks on the face- WHICH IS FALSE. I know ALDARA ointment works well. I asked for it. They said fine for face we will precribe the ointment but the ointment doesnt work on body. You get it done on body. I cant treat the one near and on the eye. They said its not painful. WARTS liquid - applied to mc put a bandage and kept for 15mins. After 15 mins the nurse said i will take this bandage off and clean the area with soap and water. The removal of bandage was vey painful for my son and it got me in tears. She asked no to touch the treated area and it will fall off on its own and there will be blisters. The nurse said we dont know if this will work if it doesnt then come back and we will try something else. I was speechless.
Then comes the Dermatoligist --- i dont know if Aldara can be used on children, you ask pharmacist.
Nurse said dont use it near the eye and on the eye , dont touch the ointment with your finger , break a toothpick and use it. dont touch the area , use it at night when your son sleeps , and dont let it spread all over his face and lips.

At home i saw 2 blisters that scared me more, by evening one was huge , by night it was gone with skin hanging. My son had 3 on his body of which one is still there. Now for ointment ALDARA it will take of leash at least it wont spread, that was the main concern fine he got mc . I am waiting for a year for it to go and not to spread. Happy i got prescription for the ointment. Now comes the bad news its not for children under 11 years . NOW WHAT ITS DEAD END.

All I know it FREEZING THE SKIN GROWTH (CRYOTHERAPY) is the best but not for a 2 year old its painful and may leave scar as toddler skin is very sensitive. BEST TREATMENT FOR ADULTS.

As for duct tape solution i read , I can try on body but what about the face scars on face?

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS SEND AN EMAIL TO BABYTALK MAGAZINE I AM SURE THEY WILL HELP US FIND CURE FOR MC FOR OUR TODDLERS.

THANKYOU

Most of the time, Molluscum does not need any treatment. The spots usually disappear over a period of time as the body fights and kills the virus. A small number of children can have the spots for several months.

No one treatment is effective for all children. More aggressive treatment may cause scarring and so it is best to try simple treatments first. Simple treatments are designed to irritate the spots. This is to encourage the body's immune system to recognize the virus and destroy the infected cells

Strict attention to hygiene is very important. Children with Molluscum should do the following:

Have a shower instead of a bath. The Molluscum virus can live and spread in the bath water to other parts of the body.
Wash and dry any bath toys every day after use. Bath toys can spread the virus.
Be careful drying your child dry after their shower. The virus can be spread on the towel - try to dry areas with the spots last.
Do not share baths with other children.
Do not go into swimming pools until the spots have gone away.
Do not share towels, face washers (flannels) or clothing.
Wash your hands after touching the Molluscum spots.
Children with Molluscum can go to school and play with other children, as clothing usually covers the affected areas.

IMPORTANT
Molluscum spots are caused by a virus.
It is spread from person to person by touching the Molluscum. It is also easily spread through bath or pool water, bath toys and towels.
It is not life threatening.
The spots can last for weeks to months.
Treatment is not always needed.
Careful hygiene can help reduce the spread of the infection.
The treatment is designed to irritate the molluscum causing it to become red and inflammed.
The treatment may also irritate the surrounding skin.
Molluscum contagiosum often causes a flare up of eczema, before and during treatment.
