littlecloud, you are not alone. I am on ly 16 weeks and the thought of labor is very scary. But I try to tell myself that women have been doing this for thousands of years. Also, do you have a birth plan (are you going natural or with an epidural etc)? It may help to learn more about the process of your birth plan. Obviously when you think of labor you think of pain but remember if it was so horrible then women wouldn't have more than one child, so if there are women out there doing this over again then it has to be something we can get through, right? We can do this!!

I'm due with my second in 5 weeks, and I still stay up some nights worrying about the pain. I went natural last time and plan to do that again. I won't lie to you, for me it was extremely painful. But surprisingly, those hours seemed to pass quickly. You'd think when you're in that much pain the time would just crawl slowly by, but it really did seem to go by quickly. And the most painful part was of course when I had to push during contractions, but because you know it's the home stretch, you just do what you've gotta do! It's a very intense pain, but like they say, woman have been doing it forever, and so can you. And the relief is incredible as soon as the baby is out. Partly physically, and partly because you see that sweet angel baby! I told my husband during labor, "I could NEVER do this again", and literally within a minute of holding her, I was like "Oh, I guess I can do it again". You aren't exactly excited for it, but it's SO worth it! Just be prepared for a lot of pain, but also remember it's nothing you can't handle. You can do it!
