Since i started working, my baby keeps hitting me when he's mad. He's been gettin bad tempers now and then, but he usually doesnt when i use to be around him 24/7...i think he misses me and needs more attention from me...it hurts me to know that when i know i cant give it all to him...i wish i can but i gotta work to get money for him and his precious butt...sometimes when he gets mad he hits me and from a long day of work, i wasnt expecting that, and to be honest, i get mad at him and it hurts me to even know how i am feeling towards him....i miss him a whole lot when im at work, and i only work part time...so i cant imagine working full time or my baby will not know who i am anymore...i want him to understand that i miss him very much and i want us to be together all the time...i try telling him, but he's not old enough to understand...but he will someday....i just had to let this out...i am very worried about him....

I know that any working mother can feel your pain. I have been working full time since my daughter was 6 weeks old, she is now 4. Today, she came to me in the kitchen with a highlighter (her magic wand, at the moment) and cast a spell so I would never have to go to work again. It broke my heart!
Unfortunately, there are still days she has a fit and it is a struggle to get her to daycare. I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but Im not sure I can. Although your son is much younger, it could be a sign of his frustration, might just be one of those mean stages they go through.
Keep your head up, you are doing what is right for you and your son, and that is the greatest thing that you can offer him. Spend quality time with him on your off days, and set aside at least an hour a day (before or after work) to spend with him just sitting on the floor, crawling around chasing a ball. These are the times that will be most precious to him, and you.

Best Luck

I honestly don't think your baby is hitting you. Charlie did the same thing. He is 9 months old. I'm guessing that Charlie doesn't know what hitting is because he's never seen anyone get hit or been his himself. I would bet my bottom dollar that like Charlie, yes, your baby does miss you and what seems like hitting is him being excited to see you.

Don't get mad. What I did was hold wrist gently and say "I missed you too, please don't hit." and then I said "Give me a kiss." and kiss him. Now when I pick him up instead of slapping me in the face he gives me a kiss.

Good Luck!!!
