My 3 week old has taken on a new personality after about a week old. We were breastfeeding but long story short that didnt' work out for us. (no guilt trips please) We're now on Similac Advance. That seemed to help since he seemed to be hungrier than what i was able to give him. Then we started seeing signs of reflux (second child had it). He's on Zantac and it seems to have made feeding time better. Now he just seems fussy all day when he's awake. He has a few moments during the day when he's fine for a little while but then he begins to fuss again. he's fine at night. He goes down fine, and sleeps 4-5 hours. he does not sleep during the day as much as he should. He sleeps mostly in someone's arms b/c it seems to be the only way to get him to sleep. i can't get him to fall asleep! and when you do get him to sleep he wakes up when you try to move him most of the time. after 2 hours of trying to get him to sleep a little while ago he's now asleep with daddy on our bed. I have older kids (5 and 3) so even though hubby got him to sleep on our bed today, how do i get my child to sleep on a daily basis? I can't lay down with him all day! I homeschool our children so this is very frustrating!i' sometimes I wonder if he's on the wrong formula or if i should try gripe water to see if he's miserable. he's hard to burp but hardly ever spits up. Should i try to swtich formulas? should i try the gripe water. i feel like the lack of sleep is an issue. i don't know if its THE issue or just part of the issue. Any ideas or suggestions?
