My son Dom is 8 months old and his teeth haven't even started to break in. He's been breastfeed since he was born and I'm just now starting to wean him. He now only gets breastfed and night feedings and occasionally during the day. Has anyone else had this problem? Will his teeth come in after he's completely weaned?

BF or FF has nada to do as far as teeth are concerned. my 5 year old got his first teeth at 5 months. My March 07 baby didn't get hers until almost 8 months....and she still only has 10 teeth. at this age her brother had a mouthful. i wouldn't worry. they will come in time

yeah i wouldnt worry, my son is almost 16 months and he only has 8 teeth! he got his first one at 8 months. I asked the doctor about his teeth and he told me the longer it takes for them to come in the better it is for the teeth. i dont think it has anything to do with you still bf, his teeth are just taking there time coming in! just make sure you give him plenty of teether's to chew on :) if he's anything like my son his teeth will come in two's which is pretty nice :) well hope this helps and Good Luck :)

Just be patient--they'll come. My daughter cut her first at 9 months. A month later, we're still waiting for another. I didn't cut teeth until after 10 months. Every kid is different. Good news, though: kids who cut teeth later tend to have healthier teeth! :)

My DD didn't cut her first until 10 months. She 14 mo. now and only has six. I wouldn't worry...although I did when I was going through it. Just know that it is on a list of things that will happen when they happen and unless the child reaches an age way past the range of expected behavior, there is nothing to worry about. Teeth, crawling, standing, walking, talking are all on that list of things that the child will do when the body is ready and there's nothing you can do to make it happen sooner.

Our DS didn't cut his first until 11 months, although we were so sure he was about to break in his first tooth "any time now" starting at around 3 months! :-)
Now he is 19 months and has probably 10-15 teeth and can eat most anything.
(For that matter, he could eat pretty well even prior to getting most of those teeth!)

Don't worry about it. They come when there ready. My dd didn't start teething till 11 1/2 months old and now she has 3 of them and she just turned 1 year on Saturday. So just enjoy it now before they get them in!
