My son's penis became hidden

my son's penis (both the head and the shaft) became hidden immediately after it healed from the circumcision (about 2 weeks later). He's almost one year old and it is still hidden. Doctors are saying that it is because he has a fat pad down there and the penis is retracted into the fat and once he thins out it'll become better. tThey also said that it is not that uncommon in infants/toddlers. his penis does pop out fine when i push the fat down. i have read that this condition can result from doctors cutting too much foreskin off. my son is not all that cubby either. i'm super worried that it is what happened. anyone that has a son that has had a similar problem but it resolved on its own? please no rude comments regarding why you shouldn't circumcise your son.

I have read about the fat pad, so that seems like it could be valid. Even skinny babies are pretty chubby around the middle, and we all have a fat pad right there (it is called the mons pubis fat pad), I can imagine that it is chubbier in babies to protect them from all the falls they do.

If it is from a botched circumcision, there are surgeries to repair it. Ask your doctor how they know it is not from a poor circumcision, they should be able to explain what they see and how they know what it means. Go see a second doctor if the answer doesn't satisfy you.
