Yesterday i woke up and i didn my daily rubbing of my nipples since im going to breast feed and my mom told me how. I've been having a burning sensation on my nipples and finally yesterday colostrum started licking from both breast! im so excited that my body is getting ready to breastfeed but i got a lil worried cause i'm only 27 weeks. has this happen to anyone else??? what did your partner said? (mine thinks its gross and it reminds him of popping pimples) Are you going to breastfeed or bottle feed and why? Lol i know im making this complicated but i just think that is so cool and i finally feel pregnant now, since ive only gained 5 pounds since i got pregnant.

Gabriela, I've noticed a tiny bit of leakage since around Christmas and I'm at 27 weeks now, too. I think it's normal.
My "other twins" have been sore and swollen since the very beginning of this pregnancy (they were absolutely killing me 2 days after conception and I stopped fitting into any of my bras right away) so my husband hasn't really had a chance to notice anything!
Only 5 lbs.??? What does your doctor say?

I found out today that ive only gained a pound. The doctor wants me to gain 35 pounds before delivery but idk i was overweight before getting pregnant. (200 pounds) and ive read that i dont need to gain as much. my ultrasound dr. is english and he said that 10-15 pounds would be fine so idk. Hailey is in the small side weighting 2 pounds and 4 onces and her head is 6.72 cm so far, but its still on the normal range. how about you?

Well, I'm sure your baby (Hailey is a really cute name, btw!) is fine as long as you are eating well and she's growing normally. My twins were both around 1 kg at my almost-26-week ultrasound, so around 2.2 lbs., and I forget their head sizes but both were in the normal range, too. I think I've gained about 22-25 lbs. It feels like a lot and my back is killing me but the doctor said it was perfectly normal and I should expect to gain another 10-15 at least.

I plan on breast feeding as well. The first time I noticed the leaking I was in the shower. I called my sister who laughed when I said, "There's milk coming out of my nipples. Doesn't my body know its not time yet?" My husband was really enjoying the increased size of my breasts but began to avoid them a bit when he witnessed the Colostrum.

BTW- My mother said she in fact lost weight when she was pregnant with me. She didn't 'gain' anything due to a healthy diet and excercise she converted her fat to baby weight and once I was born she in fact lost 25 lbs. from her pre-pregnancy weight. [If only we could all be so lucky] I have gained 6 lb. since Oct. and I was slightly overweight when I got pregnant. My doctor says my weight gain is fine and is closely monitoring the baby's growth.
