Not sure if you saw this, so I thought I would repost it here to find out your thoughts on the matter.

Perhaps you should set up email conformation in order for a new member to join the forum. That way, if someone is coming on just to spam the boards it will be a little bit harder for them and not to mention harder for trolls. I don't know ANYONE that would want to go through the process of setting up 1000 email accounts just to spam Parenting...and if they do....at least they actually have to do some work in order to do it.

Thanks for this! I think we used to have this, and then turned it off, but I'm not sure why. We're revisiting the idea as part of our efforts to thwart the spammers.

I think you should give members the ability to report specific members instead of just posts.
