Hi all,
I am 33 weeks and due to a falling out with my mother, I am now planning my own baby shower. I hope to have it all sorted out shortly, but in the meantime I noticed that babiesrus is having a pretty nice sale that ends on 01/21. Is it rude for me to send out an email to those I would be inviting letting them know the baby shower details will be coming shortly, but that we are registered at babiesrus and now is a great time to catch some deals?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Yeah. Kinda. I think its nice of you to think of saving your guests money but it will be a bit awkward to give a save the date to a shower. I think you should either, get going on those invites or just let the sale pass. There are always sales goin on a babiesRus. This is a good one though, so maybe you could buy yourself something. I got lots of clothes for gifts, even though I hardly registered for any!! And most of the gear was pretty much left for us to buy. So maybe you could get a headstart on what you REALLY want.
Also FYI, babiesRus was horrible with returns. they WILL NOT take anything back without reciept or proof that it came from your registry. So even if you do register, if the buyer doesn't log into the registry at the time of purchase to say the item was bought for you they will not take the item back without a receipt. Honestly I think the we (the new moms) put way more thought into the registry than the attendees of the shower.

thanks Mama.
My 2 aunts and cousin have since agreed to help me with all the planning, so hopefully we will have the invites out the beginning of next week....that is if me and my baby brained self can finish the guest list today :)

I agree, it would be kind of tacky. Glad your family has stepped up to help with the shower!
