name change!

My DH had the greatest idea in the world (sarcasm) to change our baby's name... so I did the steps and got her a new birth certificate with her new name.

Now when I send in the proper information to the social security card center, they state that they need an ID of the baby! when I sent them an original copy of her birth certificate!

I don't know what to do!

my baby is now almost 4, and I would like to start traveling next year, and without a passport we cant.

anyone else have done this??

I would call or go into the SS office. (I know, huge pain) and ask them exactly what they need. Perhaps they need the new birth certificate along with the old one? Good luck!
