Hi all! I'm due December 2nd (our anniversary!!). I would like to chat with other ladies to compare experiences with everything. I'm just over 12 weeks right now. I haven't been sick at all. The only symptoms I've had so far is I've been very bloated and tired. Other than that I feel great. How about everyone else? Has anyone had an ultrasound or heard the heartbeat yet? I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and got to see the heartbeat. We also heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks. It's such an excited thing to go through!! Would love to hear from others!

I'm also due December 2nd. I haven't really been sick either. Smells are what gets to me but haven't gotten sick, and I'm always tired. I sleep about 10hrs each night and still take a 2hr nap during the day. I've had an ultrasound and got to see a picture of the baby at 9 weeks and at both 9 and 12 weeks I got to hear the heartbeat.

jodyrski - Is this your first child? This will be my first. I'm so excited. As for the smells, I haven't had any really get to me yet, but I have noticed that smells are a lot stronger than usual. Do you have any doctor appointments coming up? I go again this Friday morning and can't wait. I guess since I'm not really showing yet that I need the reassurance that there's a baby in there. I'll probably get to hear the heartbeat again. I'm hoping that next month's appointment they'll be able to tell the sex of it.

Yes this is my first child. And yes I agree smells are a lot stronger. Things I never knew had a smell have smells. Yes I have a doctors appointment next week Thursday before I leave for vacation. I have been showing for a while. Not sure why maybe because I've felt bloated pretty much since I've found out that I've been pregnant. But that feeling has gone away this week and I still am showing. Yes and I'm excited to hear the heartbeat again and hope that next month that I too can find out if its a boy or a girl. We are hoping a boy. But will be happy with a girl of course.(husbands co-workers(all guys) are convinced its a girl) Do you have a preference?

Vacation sounds like fun! Where are you going. I'm going in August so I'll be nice and big by then. The whole family is going white water rafting, so that leaves me out of the fun. I get to sit on the sidelines and wait.

I think I am showing a little bit but if you didn't know I was pregnant, then you'd never be able to tell. Just the past week or so my husband has noticed a difference in my stomach. Of course I have felt bloated too since the day I found out, but looking at progress pictures that my husband takes of me, there's not much difference. I'm ready to grow a little belly though.

Boy or girl makes no difference to me at all. My husband on the other hand is a farmer and needs a "workforce" on the farm so he's really shooting for a boy! We'll both be happy either way though. You'll have to keep me updated on your next appointment.

I'm living in Japan right now with my husband. He's in the military and I'm going back to Wisconsin to see my sister graduate high school and see my family. And so they can see me while I'm pregnant.

Well I'm glad that you are going on vacation as well. Always nice to get out when you can. And even if you have to sit out thats okay. Hopefully it will be a beautiful day out and you can enjoy the weather.

That exciting that you think you are starting to show. I haven't taken to many pictures to tell the difference between them. I took one at week 12 and will probably take more while I'm on vacation and sent them to my husband since hes not coming back to the states with me. And from then on I will probably be taking more pictures regularly.

I'll keep you updated on my next appointment, and you do the same. It's nice being able to talk to someone who is due on the same day, then we are on the same road and see whats different with each pregnancy.

Did you grow up in Wisconsin? I've been there once which was just last year for the big World Dairy Expo in Madison. Are you in the states yet? How many sisters/brothers do you have? Are you the oldest? I have 2 sisters, I'm the middle child.
I had another doctor appointment last week and got to hear the heartbeat again. That's always so reassuring. It sounded really loud and great. I've only gained 3 pounds as of last week, but my clothes are fitting much tighter these days. How is your body changing?
I agree that it's so nice to talk to someone due the same time as me. Keep me updated!

Yes I've lived in Wisconsin my whole like. I'm from the Milwaukee area. I leave tonight to take the bus from where I am to Tokyo which is a 12hr bus ride then I sit at the airport all day until 430pm and leave to be on my way to Wisconsin(one stop first to Jersey, err layovers) I have a younger sister, who graduates this weekend thats why I'm going back to the states.
I had another doctors appointment today. I got to hear the heartbeat too and it is always reassuring. I also got blood work done for the quad screening. I gained 1 1/2 lbs from my last appointment. When I first found out I was pregnant I was at 129 then some how lost 4lbs and then another 4lbs. But the doctor said that my uterus is a good size and that I'm doing fine.
I made my 20 week appointment, so I hopefully will be able to find out what I'm having on July 16th! Hope the little thing lays the way it is suppose to.

I hope your travels went well and you've made it to the states okay. That's a long 2 days of traveling! That's great you got to hear the heartbeat again. I don't get my blood work done for the quad screening until next week. After that I have an appointment July 8th where I will try to talk her into checking the sex. That'll be my 19th week so I would think they could tell. If not, then I'll schedule another appt. the next week where they'll be able to tell. I can't wait for that. It just seems it'll make it a little more personal once we know if it's a boy or girl. Have you picked out any names yet??

Yes those 2 days of travel were long for the trip there and back but I am glad to be with my husband after not being with him for 3 1/2 weeks. Yea I can't wait for my appointment next week to find out the sex. And yes we have picked out names. For a boy its going to be Killian Jay and for a girl it will be Brooklyn Rose. I had a baby shower while in the states and also went baby shopping. It was so much fun but can get boring with the same colors. Can't wait to find out the sex so that I can buy different colors besides green yellow white and brown. I'll keep you updated on my appointments next week. How are you doing by the way? And new symptoms or anything?

Hi jodyrski! I was beginning to think you forgot about me. haha Anyway, glad to hear you are back with your husband. I don't think I could go that long away from him. That's great that you've already had a baby shower. I'll probably have mine around Sept/Oct. I love your names you have picked out. We have some picked out too...Silas Jeremiah for a boy and Carrington Rebecca for a girl. I had an appt. this week and I've gained just 7 pounds so far, all of my blood work came back very positive (low risk of downs or spinal defects), and my baby is being so active that the doctor had a hard time hearing the heartbeat b/c it wouldn't stop moving. Have you felt your baby move yet? Mine's been moving non-stop for about 2 weeks now. I can feel it outside my stomach too so my husband and family has been enjoying feeling it. My next appt is Tuesday, July 15 to find out the sex. I can't wait! You'll have to keep me updated on your appointments too. Let me know what you are having when you find out. Oh yeah, I've had 2 dreams in the past 2 weeks that we are having a girl. Maybe it's a sign, I don't know. We'll find out soon though. Talk to you soon.

Well I had my ultasound the other day. We are having a baby boy!! So Killian James it is. I haven't gained much weight yet either I think its been 5 lbs which is till not over the weight that I dropped from the beginning. But the doctors say I'm healthy and so is the baby. It was so neat to see all the part of the baby developing. I'm even more excited for Killian to get here now! The babies heartrate was 153. And hes 13oz. And he had my husbands feet, makes me laugh. We just found out that we could go into the other city which is about 45min away and get a 3D ultasound for cheap like $30. So I might look into that in the next few weeks to come. At one point in the ultasound the baby was sucking his thumb and my husband jokingly told him to take his hands hands out of his mouth and he took his thumb out so fast and turned around it was so funny. All day and night he wouldn't stop moving so last night was the first night I hardly got any sleep because he kept jabbing and moving around so much.

Congrats on a baby boy!! I had my ultrasound this week too and I'm also having a boy! Silas Jeremiah. We are so thrilled and my husband very relieved! I agree that it was so neat seeing all the parts of the baby. I'm glad to hear you are doing healthy and so is your baby. That's cute that he was sucking his thumb. That's much better than what Silas was doing. My little boy was holding his wee wee for one of his pictures. It was hilarious! The doctor said "yep, they start pretty young!" I haven't been kept up at night yet with the moving around, but I do feel him very often during the day. It's such a neat thing especially when my husband feels it too. Glad to hear everything is going well. Keep in touch!

Just checking in to see how you and baby are doing. its been a while! Everything here is doing good. Just got my results back from my GD test and they are negative! YAY! Other then that my pregnancy has been pretty quiet and good. Feeling all of my sons moves and enjoying every minute of it. I can't believe how fast this is going. We only have 11 weeks left! Hope all is well!

Hey there! Glad to hear from you. My baby is getting big and is so active and I'm doing great too! I started feeling hiccups last week so that's been fun. My GD test also came back negative so that's good too. Seems like the two of us have had a pretty good pregnancy so far. It's hard to believe we only have 11 weeks left. Is your nursery ready yet? Have you had any showers? My first shower is Sept. 27. I can't wait to see all the cute gifts. The nursery is a work in progress, but we're slowly getting there. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care!

Glad to hear that you and baby are doing great too. And yes it does seem we both have had a pretty good pregnancy. I know less then 11 weeks, YIKES! But so excited, can't wait. My nursery is all ready. In fact most of our buying for baby will come to an end as of Oct 1st of stuff we need need before he gets here, then we can start saving and buy ourself stuff for christmas so we have stuff for under our tree. I had my baby shower back in the states when I went to visit in June/July, I was 17 weeks. I don't know if my husbands unit at work will throw us one or not, and if not we have everything we need for now, we could always use gift cards for diapers and that about it. And its a bunch of young single guys 18-25yr old. I don't know if they would even know what to buy for a baby. My friend wants to throw me one on base here but I dont' even know who I'd invite, I dont know very many people, 5 if I'm lucky. Have a good one and keep me up to day with everything! Btw another good site I've been going to is Whattoexpect.com it is kinda like this but more talking and questions asked.

well i'm on my third baby and this pregnancy feels like its my first. a totally different experient from my other two pregnancies. my first baby i was not lazy or had any kind of sickness, my second baby, i craved all kinds of meat and fast food, ewww. and right now i'm over my morning sickness, which stopped about a month ago. (the longest ever) i had the worst morning sickness ever, slept all day and ate nothing, i couldn't stand the kitchen, i truggled to cook for my kids, and the fridge and freezer were my worst nightmare. right now that i'm in my third trimester things just got a little easier, but i can't stand the sight or smell of meat. but have the craziest craving for candy and bakery...yummy!

My water broke at 355am on Monday November 3rd. I called the hospital at 5:30 am, we were there by 5:45am. By 1030am I felt more and more contractions and thought I was going to have to push in the next hour or so. They checked me and I was dialated to 7cm. By 11:30am I was ready to push and they gave me pain meds via IV to well with the pain a little. I push until 1:09pm when he was fianally born. No epidural for me!! Dan cut the cord. They took Killian right away over to the docs because he was having som respitory problems. He was breathing pretty fast. they got that under contol and started cleaning him up. In the mean time they were delivering my plancenta and I started to hemorage. They coudn't find where I was bleeding from. They ended up having to give me 2 units of blood. I got poked proteted and what not. I was giving pain meds so I was in and out of it, having them constantly ask me if was was still with them9they were surprseid I was able to stay awake and not have passed out), and I was so drugged on I believe morphine all I could really do was keep my eyes closed and just keep answering yes and listening what was going on in the room and having a ton of people touching and sticking me with needles and pushing on my stomach. From 1:09pm-530pm I was in recovery, slept most of the time. Threw a few times. At 530pm Daniel and Killian fianlly came in and checked on me because I was fianlly awake. I got to hold him for the first time. I was in the hospital until Wednesday at around 2pm when we fianlly walked in our front door all 3 of us together. We are all doing good. Killian has a bad sucking reflex so I have to pump. And he is getting formula. I will be giving him my breast milk via bottle once it comes in. This evening I did get enough to give him some at one of his feedings. We are at home resting. He was 6lbs 3.5 oz 18 1/2 inches long

Oh my goodness!! CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so glad you are all doing well. Wow, you had your baby pretty quick. I'm so jealous that you are able to hold your baby boy already. I had a doctor appointment Nov. 7 and had no signs of progress...no dilation yet...just my cervix has softened some. I really hope this week she tells me I'm dilated a little. As for how I'm feeling, well I'm feeling more and more achy in my bones and joints. I am so ready to hold my baby boy Silas. I'm so glad to hear from you again and I wish you the best of luck! If you have any pictures, I'd love to see them. It's been great chatting with you and following your pregnancy since early on. Keep me updated on how things are going. I'll keep you updated on my baby too!
