x2. With the babies being so close together, I am going to do it when L turns 2 or try and start the process. I look forward to any tips and tricks you guys might have.

I would highly recommend not training at all. When they show interest or ask to go always encourage it and talk to them about the potty, but don't push them.

With our first we really tried to train her, we used rewards, a special potty, tried naked training and we really struggled. She did well most of the time but she just wouldn't do it unless we were constantly on her case asking her if she had to go or making her try frequently. It took over a year to get her completely out of diapers during the day and she is still working on night training. (She is 3)

Our second (almost 2) just decided one day to use the potty on his own. He started letting us know that he had to go and we started just taking him when he wanted instead of pestering him about going. The first week of using the potty he only had 2 accidents and after about a month he is in underwear all day and is dry just as frequently as night as his older sister.

As I've asked around I've learned from other moms that they agree that one day it just clicks and when they are ready they will do it. I will never try to 'potty train' a kid again!
