I found out last Friday that much to my surprise, I'm having a girl! I am absolutely thrilled, but my DH and I can't agree on any girl names. Since he doesn't like most of my favorites, maybe you ladies could help me come up with something that I hadn't thought of that he would like too. He tends to like names that are simple, but not old-fashioned. His favorite name is Eva, but I think it's too common. I like names that are more unique, but not too out there, plus ones that he considers old-fashioned. Here are some of my favorites:
Sophia (DH can tolerate this one)
Ella
Isabella
Everleigh
Chloe
Ainsley
Brynn
Eliana
Lucy
Lyla/Laila
Sonnet (this one is a little out there, but I like it)
Any other suggestions?

Congrats on the baby girl!

I agree that Eva & Ava are pretty common. I tend to like names that are just a touch out of the ordinary.

From your list:

Isabella, Sophia, Ella and Lucy are a little common as well.
Ainsley is my favorite!
Next favorites are Everleigh and Brynn.

Best of luck :D

Tori- I guess I should have said I like names that are more old-fashioned and popular rather than trendy and popular, if that makes any sense.

If I ever get preggo with a girl I am going to name her Natalie...it is a little more old fashion...but might not be simple enough for DH.

I like the names Melinda, Roxanne (Roxy for short), Lorelai, and Addison (one of my daughter's names)

My DH and I have decided to each pick a top three and we'll pick a name from there. I do get final say because he picked our DS' name and he'll be overseas when the baby is born! But I would never pick a name that I knew he really didn't like. So my top three are:

Sophia- Middle name: Faith, Elyse, or Isobel
Sonnet- Middle name: Suggestions Please! I like names with an "S" sound in the middle to go with Sonnet and Sophia. Something like Grace or Rose.
Everleigh- Middle name: Sophia

I like Sophia Elyse best and Everleigh Sophia second. Good luck!

My husband and I could not decide on anything. I found my daughter's name on Facebook (of all places).. the only name we could agree on. We named her Brielle.
