Ok here is my wife's and my dilema.

We have a 3 year old that can not (will not) fall asleep with having her "sippy" cup of milk. Sometimes she even drink 2 before she finally falls asleep. Of course this concerns us and we obviously messed up somewhere along the line to get this started.

When we try putting her to bed without any cup she cries/fusses/yells for 30 minutes to as much as 1 hour or more.

Then sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night and wants a cup.

Any helpful hints or tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Have you tried water in the cup instead of milk? We moved our daughter to very diluted juice (same juice she had during the day) and then finally over to just water. She used to guzzle milk, it was empty by morning. Now that its water she'll just nip at it when needed. She won't go to sleep without it, but she accepts just water. Gives her the comfort she likes, and it isn't harmful to her teeth or our conscience.

Good luck!
