Possible preemie with down syndrome

This past week has been hell for me and my family my doctor appointment was going fine until my doctor says Cheryl something is wrong be right back.Scared out of my mind 3 doctors come in he room one says fluid around the babys heart other 2 talk to me about down syndrome.Finally my actual docor comes in and starts saying i might have to be induced cause the baby might not be happy inside due to the amount of fluid around her , my cervix opening and contractions. Im scared why my baby have to be sick i dont deserve this just lost HELP!!!!!!!!

Going thru a lot have another appt tomorrow scared.

Big hugs to you! It's a fluke that I ran across your post, but I have a baby with Down syndrome and I know your fear! I didn't have any prenatal scares with our little guy, but he did have to have heart surgery at 5 mos., so I understand your heavy heart. I just want to encourage you from the Down syndrome angle that it is going to be ok! If your LO has Ds, the worst part is getting the diagnosis. From there, it is only easier and easier until one day, you will be so delighted with your child you will wonder what all the fuss was about! I promise. :)

I highly recommend that you head over to babycenter.com and click on communities. Then do a search for Down syndrome. You will find a very active board for Ds pregnancy, and Ds, as well as one for heart issues.
