We were thinking of conjugating our surnames but it's a weird juxtaposition and both our surnames are also common first names so we're probably going with a Korean middle name and we both seem to like Jae-Sun as it's kinda cute and also sounds like the American "Jason" (well, technically "looks" more than "sounds" if pronounced correctly)
So we've got
Trevor Jae-Sun
and
Ian Jae-Sun
We've been thinking about names for months now I never knew it could be so darn hard! I like both, even though neither Trevor nor Ian "mean" anything notable. They both seem masculine enough, yet poetic and neither are really very common in the US right now.
My (Euro/American) last name is also two syllables.
My friends really like Trevor. It passed my high school teacher friend's litmus test. Kiran was on the list for a while but we do have to admit though we love the name it is a bit too much like "Karen" for him to get through school without having kids taunt him with that. I was getting attached to it though.
Thoughts on Ian or Trevor? :-)
