Baby Shower Question

My sister and my mother are planning a baby shower for me. Because of the location they are planning on having it, they would like to throw it sometime in the summer, like July or August. My due date is October 24. Is there a general time frame that is considered to be too early to throw a baby shower? Nearly everyone I talked to, or read about, said about one month is ideal. Is two months prior to my due date a bad idea?

I'm due August 26th and my sister and godmother and mother are planning one for me in June. I personally would rather have it sooner than later so it gives me more time to get organized. this way whatever I need and don't get at the shower I'll have plenty of time to get and wash and put away before the baby comes.

My son is due June 30 and Babyshower #1 was on May 3. #2 will be on May 31 and then #3 is planned for June 7...I know..too many..But I did want an earlier on just to get his nursery set up.

Thank you both, that makes me feel much better. I have what I like to call "a touch of organizational OCD". I love organization, andI figured that if it was early enough I could set up the nursery, and re-arrange as I feel needed (which is all the time). Plus that gives me plenty of time to shop for lat minute items :)
