I am 13.5 weeks and boy are people noticing my belly starting to poke out. I have gained 5-6 pounds which is right on track with my weight gain calculator. Anyone else noticably showing yet? This is my first.

This is my first also. I started to show at about 9 weeks and I'm 11.5 today. It's not much but it's noticible to me since I can't button my normal jeans anymore. I've since moved to maternity jeans as even the hairband around the button wasn't keeping the pants up anymore. I haven't gained weight, in fact due to the 24/7 morning sickness I've lost 23 lbs. But what extra weight I do have has shifted to my belly.

This is my first, too, and at 13 weeks I am definitely different. It's twins and all the pregnancy books said I would be showing a lot faster than this. I haven't gained weight, or rather I lost 10 pounds at first and am almost back to my starting weight, but my tummy is starting to poke out a bit. Until this week I've just felt wider and it's been hard to distinguish between actual uterus growth and bloating, though! It's awful. By the end of the day I feel twice as big as in the morning and I just can't keep my pants buttoned. Cutting out pieces of the waistband of my pants and sewing elastic in their place has helped.
I'm glad I'm starting to show because people tend to be nicer to obviously pregnant women. I wish I'd had an official badge on my jacket or something during all these weeks of horrendous morning sickness. A couple of people spontaneously offered me their seats in the crowded train this week because I guess I looked like I was going to throw up and that made them notice my small bump.

Ok, I started this blog exactly one week ago. I think my belly has doubled in size since then! Well, maybe not literally but it sure is popping out quickly now. I was able to fit snuggly into my regular clothes last week. Today I have to go buy new pants because NOTHING fits! Here we go I guess....

This is number 3, 4th pregnancy, 20 weeks. I was showing before the pregnancy test showed positive. :)

Just thought it would be funny to bring up this topic again now that we're in the home stretch... Here's me yesterday, one day short of 33 weeks.
I hope all the May mammas are doing well. This board is quiet lately.

That is a great idea, Omb! Here's what I looked like at 31 weeks. I'm a day short of 33 weeks and Dustin's popped out a lot but I don't have the pics uploaded to my comp yet.

Nice tummy, Cass!
We need to get to 36 weeks, so the babies could be here 3 weeks from yesterday. Oh my gosh. I may not have time to take many more of these belly shots. I'm suddenly feeling nostalgic and like I should have taken one every week all along.
The OB asked us yesterday if we wanted a TV news crew to come cover the birth because there would already be so many people in the room that it wouldn't change much. He was joking (sort of) and I said no thanks but then again we would definitely get a good souvenir video out of it...

I completely agree with the nastalgia feeling. I was writing in Dustin's baby book the Friday and realized that there weren't many weeks (7) left to journal. :( Glad to see you're still hanging in there!

I never thought I'd miss the giant stomach that keeps me from being able to tie my shoes. But I think I'll start taking a weekly picture of it every Thursday. I happen to have pictures starting at week 31, and nearly nothing from before that.

Yes! Still here at almost 33 1/2 weeks! You're at just about the same term as I (will be 40 weeks on May 21). If I can just hang on for 3 more weeks, I'll feel much more confident. I mean, still TERRIFIED of childbirth (especially because I'll have to push twice in the best-case scenario, and I'm afraid of just being too flabby and tired after all this bedrest, and because my doctor keeps bringing up the possibility that the second twin will flip around again during labor and need to be yanked out by his feet, which can mean all kinds of unpleasant stuff for both me and my little guy), but I'll stop being terrified of giving birth to preemies who can't eat and breathe without help and suffering and won't be able to come home with us for a long time and will maybe have problems for years or all their lives, which is a much scarier prospect than childbirth. Gotta make it to April 23.

How's the moving going? Take it easy!

Ack! I can understand why you'd be terrified if that's the senario your OB keeps bring up. I'm sure everything will go just fine. As anxious as they are to come right now, the way out will be obvious to him...plus he can't let his sister beat him so soon, right? Got my fingers crossed for April 23 and longer! We are on the same term...I'll hit 40 weeks on 22 May. :)

My move's going well. I've packed everything I can and have the movers coming in tomorrow to complete the packing. They'll load Wednesday, then Merry Maids comes in to the clean the house Thursday and I leave for Texas Friday! Oh and Salvation Army is coming Tuesday to pick up a bunch of stuff I don't need anymore. In fact, I'm going to be offline for the rest of the week since everything is being shut off at my house (except electricty and water). Let's just pray I make it through the week.

Looking good, Jboz! 3 more weeks; you are so close to meeting Charlie. I'm doing my best to take turns and not to beat you to the finish line. :)
Since you'll be offline, Cass, I'm sending you lots of good thoughts for a safe move and no preterm funny business with Dustin. Post or send me an email as soon as you get settled again.

Jboz - You look so little, very cute belly.

I finally made it to Tyler! Very late Friday night. Told my husband my goal was to unpack 3 boxes a day. So far all I've been do is unpacking. Didn't realize all the boxes would drive me so crazy. Dustin's behaving and I've actually been feeling better then I was a couple weeks ago.

Omb - How are you doing? Babies still cooperating? Two more weeks until you hit 36 weeks, are you excited?

Ombeline

Cass! Congrats on finally being home and all together as a family. And please don't overdo it with that unpacking! Aren't you supposed to be on limited activity these days, or even bedrest? Do you guys have a house there or an apartment? How are you set for baby stuff? Where's Dustin going to sleep?

Things are looking good here. I had an OB visit and an ultrasound last night. The babies are getting huge and seem really healthy, but I'm starting to dilate (on top of being 90% effaced for the last month or so) so it could be any day now. I've got to hold on until April 24 so they won't have to go into the NICU but they're both over 5 lbs and they've had steroids for their lungs and would probably be able to come home very quickly.

I hurt all over!!!

The OB congratulated me on having made it through the hardest part but I looked at him thinking, what about labor and double childbirth and all the crazy scenarios you've been warning me about? And then taking care of two babies at once?

We're in a two bedroom apartment so Dustin will have his own room (well, kinda sharing it with all my crafts). But he'll be sleeping in his bassinett in our room for awhile, at least while I'm breastfeeding. We've got most of the baby stuff except the furniture...go figure, waiting on the last paycheck to come in. I'm not doing most of the work, I sit there and my husband hands me what I ask for so I can put it in the right drawer/shelf. We'll see what my OB says today...

I'm so glad that things are going well for you. 5lbs each, wow, I'm sure you do hurt. Everythings going to be just fine and easier...childbirth will be a snap compared to 9 months of carrying the two of them. Over in less then 24 hours. And your husband will be able to help with the babies once they get here so the workload won't be all on you.

35 1/2 weeks

I am getting very excited and looking forward to meeting little Samuel.
You all look so beautiful!
Congratulations Cass and Omb!

Since nothing new has been posted for a week I am keeping my prayers up that you both are doing well.

I have an appt. next Tuesday with my ob-gyn to discuss birth plan and what to expect on 'D' Day.

Keep those positive thoughts flowing ladies, we're almost done.
