I did not have this problem AT ALL with my son, who is now 5. My daughter, almost 22 months - continues to poop in the bathtub. How do I fix this problem? She is obviously not potty trained yet, although she definitely shows interest... This particular problem is so gross and since I didn't go through it the first time around, I honestly have no idea how to fix it. I do not want to severely discipline her, because I do not think she is doing it intentionally.

Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

1. watch for any signs/sounds that suggest she is getting ready to poop
2. when she does poop make it the end of bathtime, since you have to clean her again you use the shower to clean her, this will signal to her that it's wrong without it being a severe punishment
3. When you clean out the poop put it into the toilet explaining that's where it goes and allow her to flush it, it can be a great way to start potty training
4. If you are always bathing at the same time of day try changing the time you start a bath until after she poops it may just be routine now

Those are all the suggestions I can think of. Our son pooped in the bath quite a few times and I totally know how disgusting it is. Good luck!
