My husband and I are both 24. We met in college 4 years ago and have been married for a year and a half. We both have good jobs and we bought a house a year ago. We have both always talked about having children young and we feel like we are both ready for the joys and challenges that come with starting a family. I really want to start trying, but I cant stop thinking about one thing...I have always dreamed of being a mom and would love nothing more than to be able to be a stay at home mom but I know that the ecomony is hard and I dont think that would be good for us financially. I currently work an hour away from our house so I leave the house at 6:30 and get home at 6:30. My mom has already offered to watch our children when we decide to have them (she doesnt work and lives about a mile from us). BUT I dont know how I am going to feel as a first time mom leaving my child for that long during the day, 5 days a week.
I also have been looking into changing my career path, I want to be a teacher. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and have been looking into going to grad school. I was considering only taking one class at a time because of my full time job. Since we starting seriously talking about starting a family, I have decided that I can always go back to school. I am currently on the pill and have been since I was 16, so from what i've heard it is better to start trying earlier rather than later...
I know that's a lot of information but any advice or thoughts would be appreciated...
