4yr old sudden frequent urge to urinate

My son has been potty trained for some time now, and for the last 4 days he's been having the urge to pee every 5-10 minutes. He doesn't have accidents during the day, and this doesn't happen while he's sleeping (he'll go to the bathroom before bedtime and when he wakes up). He hasn't been sick, and nothing has changed to make him this way. Any ideas why this could be happening?

He could have a bladder or urinary tract infection. One of the first signs is frequent need to urinate. Some people experience pain as well, but some do not. I would recommend a visit to the pediatritian.

I frequently got them as a child (no pain for me, just peeing ALL the time) and my dr recommended cranberry juice (1 large glass a day) and LOTS of extra water. I remember whining about having to drink more water, but it really helped to prevent them or clear them up before they got too serious and required antibiotics.
