Hi all, I am new to the board. I am 22 and my husband is also 22. We have been together for almost 5 years and recently decided we would like to begin to TTC. I am planning on discussing it with my doctor to get their input as well. My concern is the swine flu that is going around. Every time I hear about it they are dwelling on pregnant women and how it is so dangerous and even fatal. We have everything in order to begin TTC but I keep postponing because of the swine flu? Am I being overly neurotic or do other Mom's to be have the same concerns?
Thanks!

Personally, I do not see a reason to not get pregnant now. We all know the risks of the getting flu and we all know what we need to do to protect ourselves. The important thing is that you take care of yourself through your pregnancy. If it makes you feel better talk to your doctor about the risk to the baby if you were pregnant and got swine flu.
Good Luck.

Totally agree. Don't let some virus that you may or may not get stop you from having a baby. As a mother you'll learn that you can't controll everything, just go for it. A year from now you'll cuddling a cute baby.
POSITIVE THOUGHTS. And take care of yourself!
