we still have an occasional accident...once a week...maybe? but after the year-long ordeal of potty training...to training in one week...then, moving up to the big toilet on her own...I have to say...there is hope. Do not despair. I know I did but for one week I had to put our lives on hold and dedicate myself to her potty training on a constant...timer every 1/2 hr. to avoid accidents and every day increasing the time...little by little until it became a habit. Now, she only gets to have accidents when playing on the computer and that's it. Sometimes it is my fault because I zone out and also have a 20-month-old little one...leaving them without a diaper works...it does...at least, when they are truly ready, because if they're not...they won't go to the toilet. Bribing them works too...by the way, I used to give her m&m's and little toys but I can't even recall how or why we are not even doing that any more...and it hasn't been that long. If your kid likes to color/read get them plenty of material for the toilet, make it fun for them...encourage them. Make them feel big...and important...I also encouraged my daughter with "Disneyland" we still owe her the trip but we will get there... good luck to all of you!!
